For applicants holding EASA licences
First MPA course (low exp) and
Additional MPA course (high exp): an applicant for the type rating course for a multi-pilot aeroplane shall comply with the following
requirements:

hold at least CPL(A) issued in accordance with Part-FCL;

hold Class 1 medical certificate issued in accordance with Part-MED;
-
have at least 70 hours of flight experience as PIC on aeroplanes;
-
hold or have held a multi-engine IR(A);
-
have passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examinations in accordance with Part-FCL;
-
have completed the training course specified in FCL.745.A;
-
hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an MCC course in aeroplanes (additional means of compliance are given in FCL.720.A(b)(4)).
Additionally, an
Additional MPA course (high exp) applicant wishing to undertake
ZFTT course shall have completed at least 500 hours flight time or 100 route sector on either:
-
a multi-pilot turbo-jet aeroplane certificated to the standards of CS-25 or equivalent airworthiness code, or
-
a multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane having a maximum certificated take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or a certificated passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers;
When a pilot is
changing from a turbo-prop to a turbo-jet aeroplane or from a turbo-jet to a turbo-prop aeroplane,
additional simulator training shall be determined by HT.
For applicants holding ICAO licences Equivalent requirements of those mentioned above apply. Specific entry requirements shall be satisfactory for Trainee’s licensing authority in order to obtain EMB 135/145 type rating.
